Networking opportunities for Independent Directors & Chairmen

ITNEA - The Association for non executive directors and chairmen of IT, telecommunications and technology oriented media listed companies - UK. The ITNEA's objectives are to:

Act as a supporting forum for non-executive directors and chairmen, giving them the opportunity to meet and discuss the particular issues faced in these roles with others in the same position in similar companies.

Provide members with opportunities for new Non Executive Roles and offer companies and their agents a path to address potential candidates for NED and chairman roles - NED advertising / search

Act as a lobbying body on issues faced by non-executives, where the membership feels that there is advantage in having the concerted expression of the particular needs of listed TMT companies.

The members meet several time per year often over dinner or lunch and with a guest speaker covering a topic of importance or interest to members. The ITNEA is supported by sponsorship. ITC Journeyman Scheme

Among its many activities the company runs a Journeyman scheme. The Journeyman Scheme of the ICT promotes the professional development of potential leading IT practitioners with the involvement of independent mentors. Most Journeymen are qualified IT professionals aged 25-35 who now wish to develop their skills and career in a structured way and gain advantage through contacts and advice provided within the scheme. David Tebbs, principal of DTA, was a a founder member of the ITC and has served on its court and charitable panels. As vice chairman of the Apprenticeship Committee he lead a team that identified the need and helped launch the ITC Journeyman scheme and he then chaired the Journeyman management committee for a number of years. He remains active in the management of the Journeyman scheme.
